Hardfaced VTubes wear-resistant pipes are designed for the most demanding applications in the mining, smelting, cement, power, and aggregate industries. They combine high abrasion resistance and excellent impact resistance with the ability to operate at elevated temperatures.
Four VTubes Grades – Matched to Operating Conditions
VTubes offers four types of wear-resistant pipes with varying hardness and abrasion resistance, tailored to different operating temperatures and load conditions.
VTubes Cr22Ti
- Wear resistance: very good
- Maintains properties up to 300°C
- Hardness: 55–58 HRC
Suitable for installations with moderate abrasion and operation at elevated but stable temperatures.
VTubes Cr32
- Wear resistance: excellent
- Maintains properties up to 300°C
- Hardness: 60–63 HRC
Recommended wherever extended pipeline service life is required under intense abrasion.
VTubes CrX800
- Wear resistance: extreme
- Maintains properties up to 600°C
- Tungsten carbide: 62%
- Hardness: 57–60 HRC
- WC hardness: 3,000 HV0.4
Designed for the most demanding applications where conventional solutions wear out quickly.
VTubes WSC
- Wear resistance: excellent
- Maintains properties up to 800°C
- Hardness: 63–65 HRC
Ideal for work in extremely high‑temperature, high‑abrasion environments.
All VTubes offer excellent impact resistance, making them suitable for situations with exposure to dynamic loads and material impacts.
Internal, External, or Dual‑Side Hardfacing
Hardfaced VTubes are available with inner, outer, or dual‑side overlays to match the wear direction and pipeline operating conditions.
Internal Overlay VTube
Used where abrasion occurs mainly on the side of the transported medium.
External Overlay VTube
Solution for applications exposed to wear from the environment (e.g., contact with other elements, ballast).
Internal and External Overlay VTube
Maximum protection against abrasion both inside and outside the pipeline.

Additional Note:
The selection of the base pipe material grade and the type of hardfacing overlay is carried out individually, depending on the operating parameters of the installation (temperature, medium, and wear mechanism).
