VPlate Hardfaced Plates

VPlate Wear‑Resistant Hardfaced Plates

Bimetal plates for extreme operating conditions — abrasion, high temperature, and impact. Tested, validated, and proven in the most demanding industries.

What is VPlate?

VPlate is a bimetal plate consisting of a structural steel base overlaid with an alloy engineered for extreme wear resistance.

The production process is based on mechanized hardfacing, which reinforces the plate structure and delivers even greater abrasion resistance.

Tests performed according to ASTM G-65 and DIN 50322 confirm the stability of VPlate’s performance and its clear advantage over conventional wear-resistant plates.

One of VPlate’s greatest strengths is its high chromium carbide content (Cr7C3), reaching 1730 HV – a value that surpasses competing products.

Abrasion Test

Comparative tests clearly demonstrate the significantly higher abrasion resistance of VPlate compared to conventional wear-resistant plates and S355JR steel. The test results confirm the advantage of VPlate’s hardfacing technology – lower mass loss = longer service life.

How the Test Works

Short overview of image data:

  • Test time: 0.5 h
  • Load: 20 N
  • Circumference: 430 mm
  • Rotations: 90
  • Angle: 45°
  • Abrasive: SiO₂ / G25

To put it simply, the material is literally “ground down” under controlled conditions. The lower the weight loss, the greater the resistance.
